Personal injury news
Three people have been injured in a car accident that took place on a rural lane in Staffordshire. Police believe the driver of the car, a Peugeot 306, lost control on a bend before hitting a telegraph pole and coming to a rest on the road. No other cars were involved. One of the passengers, a woman, was thrown through the back window when the car accident occurred. She was described as having abdominal injuries and underwent treatment in Staffordshire General Hospital, before being allowed to go home. The driver of the car suffered serious personal injuries, believed to be multiple bone fractures, and was airlifted to hospital. He is thought to be in a stable condition. The remaining passenger did not sustain severe injuries in the car accident and was described as being "walking wounded" by Sergeant Jim Harkness, the senior investigating officer.
