Ellen DeGeneres suffers minor injuries in car accident

TV star Ellen DeGeneres has been lucky to escape serious personal injuries after being involved in a car accident on Friday.

Ellen was parked at traffic lights with her partner Portia de Rossi when a car drove into the back of their vehicle on Sunset Boulevard.

The pair were said to have sustained a mixture of neck and back injuries in the vehicle accident.

The driver of the other vehicle involved in the car crash also escaped serious personal injuries and was later arrested on suspicion of driving under influence of alcohol.

Ellen and her partner are thought to be recovering well after the car accident.
